Orange. Yay or Nay?

Apparently there is some debate as to the use of orange flowers in the garden. Some say it's horrible others love it.

I'm a newbie when it comes to flower gardening but I'm going with Yay!

I really love the orange lilies we have in our garden so I added some more orange to my seed order from Veseys.

This mix is called "Evening Glow" and I'm madly in love with it. They are impatiens and if all goes well will be planted in my window boxes.

I think they will look spectacular.

What do you think? Do you like orange flowers in the garden or do you believe they don't play nicely with other colours?

It seems crazy to be thinking about spring when there's about 10 feet of snow piled on my lawn. We've received an insane amount of snow so far this winter and our snowiest months are still ahead!

Playing Around

I finally got a new camera. We picked up the Canon Rebel XSi at Future Shop on sale. I've been playing around with it a bit inside. I'm really excited for spring to take some great outdoor shots.

Here's some pics. Just random stuff, some of the kids. The quality is crap on a couple as I was experimenting with the settings but they are too cute not to post.

I definitely want a macro lens for this camera. I can just imagine the gorgeous shots I'll get.
